Default Any dry nitrous kits for Harley EFI bikes?

I have a 09 street glide and want to have a few more horsepower and really dont want to spend the thousands of dollars to build a high hp motor. I had a LS1 camaro back in the day and it was mostly stock and i ran a dry nitrous kit through and it dropped my 1/4 a second and never had any motor issues what so ever and i ran bottle after bottle through it. I was wondering if they make a dry kit thats safe for a mostly stock efi harleys. I know im probably gonna get alot of bashing but to me nitrous is the cheapest and most reliable horsepower for the money. You wouldnt have to worry about the heat and stuff like you would a built motor and the twin cam motors are pretty reliable stock and really dont want to mess with the internals. IDo they make a dry nitrous kit for a harley and what all is needed to complete the project. Im just wanting maybe 15 to 20 more hp. Im jsut asking a question and getting some ideas. I found this on the net anybody have any experience with it? http://www.thunder-max.com/Products/...DrySystem.aspx

I know the biggest engine killer with nitrous is running one lean and burning a hole in a piston. These engines run dangerously lean from the factory. It would definitely have to be richened up.

Its critical that you throw more fuel in with the NOS.

Your LS1 will automatically do that thanks to the wide band O2 sensors. Your HD wont do that as the O2 sensors are narrow band and dont do anything at full throttle.

Thats why you have to go thundermax with wide band 02 sensors - they work even at full throttle and the thundermax will throw in more fuel to make sure you dont lean out.

I dont know if the PC has a nitrous mode, but the SEPST sure does not.

IMHO NOS is fine if you want a to get going faster in a straight line. The way that NOS is either on or off makes it hard to ride the bike fast thru corners. You will get a performance increase that isnt nearly as useable as a pair of cams.

If I was you I would spend the money on a set of cams and a TTS. Do the math, by the time you buy the NADS kit and the thundermax, you probably could even go 103.

I would be willing to bet that a sorted stg 2 96 or a 103 would pass your NOS bike mid apex of the first corner you came across.

The dry system with the T-Max should calibrate to add more fuel when the nitrous button is activated thru the injectors if the system is capable of supplying it but my question is, are your injectors/pump capable of this? Also your Camaro had a 1 piece crank , your SG has a multiple piece press fitted crank. Your Camaro was water cooled with stable temps which mean nice close tolerances, your SG has an air cooled engine with widely varying operating temps and the tolerances have to be wider to deal with the temperature fluctuations. I've ran nitrous on many different vehicles, my Street Glide is not one of them. But give it a try if you feel strongly about it.

An LS1 had 4 bolt main bearings. It's only an opinion but a stock Harley engine would not hold up long. The crank bearings would not handle it.

Thundermax from Zippers and they make a NOS setup...But I think you'll burn the pistons right out of your scooter....I would upgrage to forged pistons and then the crank bearings become you weak point so....it's a vicious cycle to start...Dude you have a Harley...Love it for what it is...If you want HP get a rice burner or a Duck

Look at the edelbrock website. It's been a while since I looked but I'm almost positive they have a kit that has everything you need.
