Car tire
This subject has been debated for years, where have you all been ? Myself and thousands of other have been running car tires for many years, right here on this forum is a dark side group for those who want to learn more, for those who want to argue the subject, read the first rule. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/the-dark-side-167/

[QUOTE=perki48;17211572]I never cooked bacon naked either but I'm thinking I don't need to do it to know I don't think it's a good idea.

Yep , seen them read them. I've heard, read , and seen , been in all the arguments you can imagine about this subject since 2005 and don't have the desire to persuade or recommend running a car tire to anyone who is set against it, but will answer questions for those who are interested in trying it. I also don't have any problem with guys extending frames, running 26"+ tires on the front, changing frame geometry, extending forks, lowering suspensions or any number of ways to change the handling, ride, or safety in any way of riding a particular motorcycle. In the same way that anyone who hasn't done any of these things has any business telling the one's who have how dangerous it is to modify from stock equipment. We all take our own risks for different reasons according to our experience and or knowledge of the dangers. Every single one of us knows a rider that has been hurt or killed on a motorcycle for dozens of reasons so why are any of us riding at all. I've also pulled a trailer throughout most of North America and have been told how dangerous it is by people who have never done it. To each their own , stay safe in your own way, ride on !

I'm going to give it a try just to add a bit of danger to my life This is the only one I can find with a quick search. My bike is a 2005 Electra Glide classic with the stock 3 inch wide X 16 inch rims. Does anyone have a better recommendation for a tire? Leave the front a stock D402F?

I wonder if I could fit that on my 99 Ultra. I am running a 1" belt & have centered the wheel in the frame. I currently run the 150/80/16. I may have to get one & try it to see. I go thru tires on the rear like crazy. 5K is the max that I have gotten & some seem to go bald around 3K. Seems like a lot more pro's than con's.
