rear shock air psi on a 09 Streetglide?

We are getting ready for a Blue Ridge ride, what psi does everyone have for the rear shocks on an 09 Streetglide with luggage and a 115lb passenger. This will be my first 1900 mi ride. What does everyone recommend? Stock shocks

I recommend getting rid of the stock shocks. You can adjust them all you want, they will never give you a decent ride. Been there, done it, then went to Ohlins Shocks.....Good luck on your ride, stay safe.

I'm hopefully doing Skyline Drive at the end of the month.

Put them at 45-50 and work down from there. My 09 SG actually rode better ( less bottoming out ) with more air pressure. At 12-20 w/ old lady on the back was miserable.

I'm 210 and wife is 120. With all our gear for five days I ran 45 lbs and it was perfect.

20 solo, 50 two up...

40 for two up.

I would agree that anything over 40 would be correct.

I run 45 with two up totalling about 340#. And have to add air every two weeks. Another gift from the stock air shcoks.
