HD LED Oil Dip Stick
#31
I picked mine up this weekend at the HD dealer in Tallahassee, FL. They didn't say anything when I walked up to pay for it...assuming I knew the issues with it.
I've only put on 120 miles...and so far I just don't like having to reach down to puch the little button to read it, but at a stop light, it gets done.
I will add to this post again if I have any problems with it.

I've had two, both on Heritage's strictly for fast oil check on long trips when dipstick is too hot to pull out without burning fingers. On my 02 I had to replace the battery after two years, on my 08 it was still working fine when I sold it in 2012. My son just gave me one for my 2012 Electra Glide. I had not planned on getting one for new bike, price was ridiculous. Rode in all kinds of weather with my first two, no problems.

Thread resurrected I see...I put an analog on mine a year back and love it. I put the 200 degree mark pointing out to the right, and at 210, my needle is just slightly to the back, so I don't have to but glance quickly and know what the temp really is.
Still, the old Limey trick of 3 fingers/3 seconds on the oil tank will also tell you without a gauge.

I had one for a month this summer before it malfunctioned. As for being accurate, let me say this... As one who is completely "off the charts" **** retentive, it is an impossibility for it to be accurate enough for me. Simply by having "4 bars" for indication, it just can't. I don't want it 1 cup overfilled. In other words, within those bars, there is obviously a range. I can't sleep unless I can put my peepers on the stick. Yes, I'm very disturbed.
