Default Good replacement seat for comfort

I had an 07 Fatboy with a stock seat for years and could ride it for 12 hours without any seat or back pain. I just purchased a 10 Street Glide and 1-1/2 to 2 hours in the stock seat kills me, especially the lower back. My wife is really hurting and we have a 3500 mile round trip coming up in two weeks. I am hoping to find a good replacement.

Recommendations would sure be appreciated, thanks,

Steel

I see you are new, welcome to the forum.. there is a search button on top... this question has been so beat to death... and we can NOT pick a seat for you... get a beer, coffee or soda and do a search on your question. You will find HOURS of reading..

good luck and enjoy...

It really is a very tough question -

For me the Corbin is the best, but someone else will say they are too hard. Like the Harley0711 said, its not an easy question to answer, If you only have two weeks, you may not have the time to order anything. My advice would be to get a sheep skin for now and check out a few saddles during your next rally. Enjoy your trip and Be Safe JIM

I love my sundowner but all ****'s are different....my dealer has a rental program and if you decide to buy a seat they take the rental price off the seat you decide to buy....Good Luck with your "Search"

On the stock SG seat your wife has to be hurting more than you are. As the others have posted seats are a funny thing. Every butt is different.

If you buy direct from mustang you can return the seat as long as you call them for an RMA within 10 days and the seat is not damaged in anyway.

You can stop down at HD and see if they will put a seat on for you to try.

Sundowner worked great for me... Friend put an airride seat on his and loves it but it looks like a big old sofa, guess if you have a wide **** it's ok... my 200lb 6'1" frame loves the sundowner...

Stock seat had to go. Two Mustangs later, I settled on the Sundowner, best of the 3 and reasonable price.

I had the opportunity to ride a Harley with a Corbin on it. It was very comfortable for me. I believe seat choice is a good example of, you get what you pay for. Although there are seats that many are happy with, I am planning to mount a Corbin solo seat on my '09 ultra Classic.
