Default How do you take off the factory Brake Pedal Pad?

Just bought a Chrome Brake Pedal Pad Cover and the Factory Install sheet says...Remove the Factory Brake Pad first (see below)...
I have tried pulling it off to the point that I have almost bent the brake pedal arm. Is it Glued on? Thought about just cutting it off,
but figured there must be a simple way to remove it. There is No Bolt holding it on that can be seen although the new one does
have a bolt that holds it to the arm, so I'm guessing there is a hole in the pedal arm?
Any suggestions would be appreciated !!

This is being installed on a 2010 Ultra Limited ...this is the part I'm referring to.......

This is the install sheet instructions.......
Installation
1. Remove previously installed brake pedal cover from
motorcycle.
2. Align and place brake pedal cover over rubber tread.
3. Insert bolt, with rubber logo properly aligned, into hole in
combined new brake pedal cover and rubber tread.
4. Place 5/8 in. OD flat washer onto bolt first, followed by
7/8 in. OD washer.
5. Place new brake pedal cover and bolt/washer assembly
on brake pedal.
6. Place offset washer on bolt.
7. Adjust and hold offset washer in position covering
exposed slot under brake pedal and attach acorn nut to
bolt. Tighten acorn nut to 25-29 ft-lbs.

Somebody on another thread said to use compressed air. I would guess put the nozzle on the open part of the pad and let er rip. Is supposed to come right off, but I have never done it and did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I just cut mine off. There is an indent in the top and bottom that makes it a real PITA. I figured I wouldn't need it after I installed the chrome one, so it went in the trash. Along with the stock grips.

Mine was a real SOB to get off, and once off was stretched bad enough was useless as a reuse so I could have done as well to cut it away.

No, there isn't a bolt/nut on a factory installed pad!
I just cut mine off and threw it in the trash.
The new one will bolt on as stated.

Must differ from bike to bike b/c my 09 FLHX brake pad's bolted on. Just went & looked...took off bolt & lifted pad off. I believe '10 Touring should be the same??? So...there isn't a bolt protruding from under your pad (cap-end ~1/2" long)??
