105 degrees, heat index 114.

hey when it's this hot out, the harley can sit out in the shop till night rolls around. i can't imagine how the guys in tuscon, phoenix, or houston handle it. it's been a tough summer for the oklahoma area. just wanted to vent that it's too friggin hot to get out riding, just hoping for a cool down soon.

Hey we are drying up here in FLA too
Makes it hard to head out for a ride when it's baking
I usually "summerize" the bike over the summer months

I hear ya! I'm in eastern Oklahoma too and I had to put a metal roof on a rental today. It was like working in a frying pan.

Best time to go for a ride is in the evening around 6 or 7,,except on the weekend when there are bike events going on.... Here in fla. We have till about the end of october before it will start cooling a bit..

POSER!

Haaa. Couldn't help myself. I'm in Dallas so I feel your pain, my friend. I still try to ride it when I feel brave but expect to come home and jump straight in the shower every time.

I know it may sound weird, but I wonder if a full face helmet helps protect from some of it by keeping the direct sun and UVs away from baking your face. :icon_shrug:

Blistering Hot in Dallas......... I got my fill a couple of weeks back at the Hot Springs Rally.... Was only like 101 -103 but the humidity was like 70% was finished riding by 10AM on the 3rd day, rode home Sunday AM leaving at 6AM to beat the heat, got to the house at 11:30 and it was 100.

Best time to ride in Dallas is the AM till about 11 then its to the A/C..... But hey a couple of months and we will be complaining about the cold.......

Whats worse the heat off the bike for 4 hours of the radiating heat from the pavement?

eastern n.c. 95-100 here lately, I think I'd die with a full face on. Try it and let us know how it goes, hehe
kroozeabout.

Yup. The mornings are really nice. The ride home can be tough though.

I bought the hydration paks to put in my HD mesh jacket. That combined with a neck cooler from academy helps a lot.
