trailer for my Ultra

The wife and I are taking longer and longer trips with the 09 FLHTCU and need more packing room. Who out there pulls a trailer and what's your opinion on the one you are towing behind your bike? Trailer hitch advice would also be appreciated.

Bushtec. Bushtec trailer hitch. Period.

I expect that the answers you get will be just like an oil thread.
Anyway, I've pulled 3 different makes of trailer. All three were production trailers as opposed to home made.
1. fibro concept http://www.fibroconcept.com/en/
2. sarasota shadow http://www.sarasotatrailers.com/shadow.htm
3. forest river 3x5 http://www.forestriverinc.com/nd/def...gage&nav=cargo

Once I figured out to run 13-17 lbs of air in the tires, all three towed true and well. If you run too much air in the tires, the trailer bouces all over the place when you hit dips and bumps in the road.
We just installed an mchitch on our 09 Ultra. Installation was easy and the price seems decent as well. They're great to deal with as well.
Here's a link to them. http://mchitch.com/Harley_Touring_Re...umper-2009.htm

I'd suggest the big things to remember when towing a trailer are taking your corners wider than you're used to and loading the trailer so that the tongue weight is right. After a couple of times loading the trailer it becomes second nature anyway as far as weight distribution is concerned.

Good luck and enjoy your travels.

American Legend is styled similair to HD and can be trimmed out pretty darn nice but is also expensive. I've looked the Aluma over pretty thoroughly and with the accessories offered they can be bought for approx. 50% of what you'll pay for a molded fiberglass unit. As stated previously, you choices are infinite, from a homemade Harbor Freight type of unit to the sweetest of molded fiberglass units, the choice is yours. The one thing that most seem to adamant over is torsion suspension. Good luck on your final decision.

I have a homemade thule and HF setup, bout $400 total holds tons pulls like a dram. The fiberglass units are beautiful but are heavy in weight and price. Two up Harley TG 32 mpg and a great puller.

This is my single wheel Monogo trailer. It tows and tracks like a dream.

I have pulled several different brands and prefer my american legend. The suspension keeps it from bouncing. You could actually forget it is back there.

I use a Kuryakyn hitch and wiring isolator kit.
