They usually get fugged up when you remove them. They are only like $5 each at a dealer.

HD used to have a lighted saddlebag hinge kit # 90732-06. Now obsolete. One dealer in the US is still showing as having:

Tennessee
Thunder Creek Harley-Davidson Chattanooga P-(423) 892-4888

I have an 07 Electra Glide Standard and had the saddle bag latches replaced by the dealer in January 09. Kuryakan #1568 were used and worked fine, for a while. I have had the right and left replaced in 09 at no charge to me. Now the left one is out again and after contacting Kuryakan I was told there is a 3 year warrantly on these latches. The dealer is presently contacting Kuryakan to see if they will pay for the labor.

I used some 3M brand reflective black vinyl. Picked up a free, used reflector, applied the vinyl on top, cut around it with a xacto(?) knife, removed it from the reflector and applied it to mine that were on the bike. Blacks out the reflector and still provides some safety.
