I do believe that after speaking to the salesman one more time this afternoon that I have lost faith in the sales side of this dealership. The 1000 dollar price drop and free riders edge course deal were only good until close of business today. The asking price is now back to 12995 and they were not willing to deal any further. Not only was I unimpressed with the knowledge of the sales staff from the beginning, now I am questioning their integrity. If you make a deal and settle on a price, don't use that price as a means to hurry the deal. The only reason I didn't buy the bike early this morning was that the bank was dragging their feet as usual, and the salesman was fully aware of that. At the time this thread was started, the loan was approved, and one hour later the deal was no longer valid. Quick turnaround I think, but no love lost, I have already found a newer, lower mileage, true "PI" for the same price, that has factory paint. I spoke to the salesman for the newer bike and not only was he very knowledgeable, but he also made a deal that was within 1500 dollars of the asking price for the previous bike. http://image7.autorevo.com/2635/pics...4793384865.jpg
Maybe the original deal was postponed for a good reason, I'm afraid I would have ended up with very little bike for a very oversized payment. Thanks for all your help, and to BDP for turning me on to your forum. I'll keep you posted
