Search for OEM part numbers
Are there any sites out there where you can look up MoCo part numbers for your bike?
|
Honestly? Just go buy the parts manual for your model. I promise you, if you do any work on your bike at all, you won't regret that small investment.
Having said that, sometimes (depending on the year & model) BikeBandit.com has a searchable database of many models of many different brands, including some Harley. Will they have yours? Hard to say, but give it a go and find out. |
|
dawg... That site doesn't actually give you the part numbers. It's just for ordering from them.
I use jpcycles.com and select the model bike I'm finding parts for. When I get the correct part, in the description there is usually a "Replaces OEM part #: _______". Once I get the part number I check their price against other online sites, then order which ever I decide. ;) |

Are you looking for a specific part from a specific year?
|
Bikebandit.com shows the part numbers and schematics for Harleys up through 2008. Click on OEM in the top banner and follow the links.

Actually, this site will. Add your parts to the cart and then go to checkout. The part numbers then show up. I use this all the time.
Ok, yeh it does show the part number. I just needed to go one page further. My bad! ;) |
I used the Illinois hd site to get a pdf of the instruction sheet for HDs aftermarket parts. I used that to get the numbers for the kit breakdown on the last page. Helped me get the number for just the part I needed instead of buying a whole kit. Works for some apllications. ilharley.com Depends on what your looking for. Just sayin...

That microfiche page is an absolute Godsend. Good find Dawg.
|
+1 for Dawg. I have been looking for this for years. AND, today I found some part numbers I have been trying to find for a long time. Awesome.
|
Thank you immensely for the link. You aren't kidding, that is a godsend. We need to buy you a case of beer. :D
|
Another vote for getting a parts manual. Short money.
|
Dawg, Thank you. You are worth every penny that you get paid for being on this forum.
The problem with the parts manual is that I want to add a few parts from other touring models (flhx) to the Road King. I really don't want to buy a parts manual for a bike that I don't own. I used to get the part numbers from the dealers around. Now I have my own way. Dawg, do you have a pay pal account where I can just send you money to buy beer or whatever you want to drink? I would gladly make a donation for this response... Steve. |
Marking for reference

OOPS, looks like we must have taken the site down. Hopefully it will come back up.

:icon_that: :icon_rtfm: :icon_that: When I have a question for a part number, I just go to my book shelf. I buy the manual and part catalog when or before I buy the bike. I have part catalogs that date back to 1941. I have accessory books that date back to 1995. I read, not search On-Line. |

i used to use the one that dawg linked to (ronnies), but they didn't have a lot of the newer manuals loaded. then i found this one: http://www.granitestateharleystore.c...partfinder.htm
which has the 2014s loaded, including the cvo models. you just have to add a second step by inputting the resultant part number into another search for a discounted price as this site gives you the msrp for the part and not discounted like ronnies. but thats cool, as i never ordered from ronnies anyway.... the oem parts finder that iceman linked to includes the 2014s as well.... |
Try his link...www.shopronniesharleydavidson.com

Where does one find a parts manual for a particular year and model other than a dealership? My Google search is dry so far. Thanks.

Here is another parts finder site like ROnnie's but shows the part numbers in in the lookup:

Check signature. Simple and nice spare part finder! You can opt-in for hd microfiche as well. :icon_banana:
