Default Largest 18" rear tire on a 2007 street glide?

What is the largest tire that can be used on an 07 street glide. I have a 18 x 4.5 wheel. Will a 160 tire work or should I stick with a 150? What name brand tire is best or will fit better?

Thanks.

I have a 2008 FLTR (Road Glide) with 18 inch rims on front and rear. The largest tire that I can use is a 150/70 B18 Metzler ME880. Good luck on the 160 - I'm not sure if it will rub.

I would stop at a 150 metzler ME880. I had a 150 Metz on my 07, it measured
6 1/4'' wide on the bike. A 160 Elite 111 only measured 5 3/4''. Not very much
room left with the 150 Metz, anything wider and you're pushing the size of the
stock rim.

You can run a 160/60/18 Metzler ME 880, that is the maximum. I will tell you though that it handles better with the 150/70/18 and that's what I will be going back to next time I buy a tire. Above 75 MPH, the 160 is a little squirrely.

I have an 07 SE Ultra with 160 / 18" on the back and it fits. That is as wide
as you can go. I agree that the 150 is probably the best way to go for the
hiway speeds and will also go back to that when this 160 wears out.

Looks very cool too, the 160!

In our experience the 150 is the better option because a lot of our customers that tried the 160 reported the tire felt unstable at higher speeds.

Sounds like the 150 seems to be the better choice. Any other input would be great.

I have had both several times-- the 160 may require trimming (or removing) the belt guard.

Sometimes the 160 wobbled slightly at higher speeds -- sometimes not

the 150 never wobbles -- the better choice is the 150
