Head Question
What SE heads out there would be good on a stock 103 build with ACR's and cams. I know most answers are going to be to send in mine and have them done and that is an option as winter is coming. I might have a chance to get my hands on a few sets of the SE heads from a 110 and don't know which route to go. Let me hear it guys, what to do..

I didnt go with the acr,went with the mcr.I didnt want to mess with sending my stock to be worked on.yes alot of people will jump in and say why not but for 600 on ebay they already have bigger springs,bigger valves,new valve guides,milled,cr,cant go wrong im hopeing??? even if it could use a little p/p ive read at this point it wouldn't add a whole lot for the money,not trying to win a race just make this thing rip.(103,high lift cam...few other stuff).
Set a goal,try not to go overboard(bin there),I would go for the se heads you fell into, theres always next winter.

I am thinking I can clean the chambers up myself a little. I am thinking the 110 heads and clean the black coating out of the chambers and I can't go wrong. I guess I am just wondering if the size of the valves is going to be to big for what I want. Any motor heads out there know the difference in valve size from a 110 to a 103 SE head. I would think the springs, guides, and all would be the same. Just the cc size of the chambers themselves. I don't want to get to big and have troubles. I think Auto Tune can do a lot but if I get to big I am guessing I am going to have some problems.

I bought a set of 110 heads off ebay and I am pleased with them. 200.00 brand new straight out of the box. There not on the bike yet, just got them back from a porter that cleaned up the bowls and passages (100.00). They will then go out for bronze guides and a valve job. I will have a total of about 5 to 6 hundred in them when finished
110 heads need the guides replaced as they all had issues with them
Valve size is a monstrous 2.100 intake and 1.63 exhaust Valve springs will allow up to .575 cam lift
getting the comp to 10.5:1 requires a pop up dome. your std flat top will gen a very low comp of around 8.75:1 the 110 heads have a very large combustion chamber of 93cc and are ideal for a 120"+ build
You can get a 103 piston from SE that has 10.5:1 for the 110 head the part # is 22137-08B and costs 239.00 from Chicago Harley
