Cee Bailey's vibrates alot

Just put a 10" Cee Bailey's super step on my SG and went for a ride. This windshield vibrates like crazy.

I think that your mounting screws (at least one of them) must be loose. I have a Cee Bailey SSC on my 09 Ultra and it is completely stable, with no vibration. I don't recall what size it is; maybe a 14" (I'd think the smaller ones would be less likely to vibrate.)

That's what I initially suspected. Double checked the screws and all were tight.

I have the 13 inch version on my 2009 Street Glide and the only time it vibrates, is at idle. Once you get going the wind pressure stabilizes it. I also do have a fork air deflector baffle down between my forks on the bottom of the tree - maybe that helps?

OK, gave it another shot. Double checked the install. Everything is as it should be and check the tightness of the screws - again. Took it out for another ride and it still vibrates. This is not vibration from the engine, this is like a high frequency fluttering. At one point I took my left hand and stabilized the shield and it actually did a decent job of reducing buffeting. Let go of it and it started vibrating again and the buffeting returned.
In looking at the design of this it is basically a flat piece of plastic with a wave in it. The plastic they use is thin and very flexible. Anyways, not happy with it.

Something is very strange here. The Cee Bailey SSC on my 09 Ultra is NOT thin and flexible. It's a pretty heavy-duty sort of windshield.

I wonder if they changed something about their manufacture of the shield. Sorry to hear it if they did; I like my shield better than either stock or Clearview with recurve.

I have the Cee Bailey SSC and it only vibrated at idle at speed it was fine, love the shield and would use it today except for the fact that I can’t use the windshield bags so the nod went to LRS who fixed me up and now happy as a clam in water.

I have several SSC's and they only vibrate at idle. I've been buying them for several years, so not new models but I wouldn't characterize them as thick, but certainly not ultra thin either. Something either isn't right with yours or you aren't going to like the SSC. My smooths out and stops vibrating as soon as I engage first gear and take off.

Mine vibrates. It bothered me at first, but I don't even notice it anymore. It's the 13"

Sharp bike. Do you look over that shield or through it?
