So the auto tune modules will not adjust the tune on the fly like it does on the PC-V? The AT modules only aid in creating the base map?

That seems to be a step in the wrong direction.

In my experience it isn't a good idea to write data directly to the working application. That could leave you in a bad situation.
I think writing to the live map on the fly is a step in the wrong direction. Being able to review the recording/log is a much better way to insure that you will not end up something you do not want.

The PC-V has a limit to how much it can adjust the tune on the fly. The AT modules allow me to have the correct a/f ratio as I ride, not after. I know that no matter the conditions my PC-V with AT will try to meet my given A/F ratios, right then.

May not be an issue when riding around town but it is when going on a trip.

The PC-V is a piggyback device that allows for live tuning, with Power Vision we are flashing the factory ECM directly which does not allow live changes to the calibration. Power Vision Auto Tune Pro uses the AT-100 with dual wideband sensors to log and apply data to the calibration, this is the same strategy that is generaly used when tuning on the dyno and works very well. You can also calibrate the AFR/Lambda table and use the factory nbO2 sensors for closed loop operation. Auto Tune Basic can be used to log and apply data using feedback from the factory O2's, however you must work within the limitations of the narrowband sensors.

No argument here, live tuning is one of the great benefits of the PC-V and the AT-100 works very well in this application. However if your base calibration is tuned properly and all of the tables are correct the bike will run great in all conditions. It all comes down to the accuracy of the tune

I am thinking on holding right now with the PCV with the AT it runs very well and adjusts on the fly. I don't mind hookin the lap top in every now and again. On my next build will probablly look at this great product.
