I've lost the right side bolt cover for my gas tank and the covers that go with the recall spacers are unique to the kit. Anyone have any idea how I can get a replacement? Dawg?? Anyone??? I did call the dealership but they don't have an answer (yet). If Harley doesn't issue a part number for these soon I fear that we're all gonig to find this wil be one of the most commonly "lifted" parts off of our parked bikes.

 

94754 is the pn# for the recall kit. It lists for $20.18. A kit breakdown shows no information available for individual pieces. Just buy the kit I guess

 

Don't know if this will help, but for my 08UC, the boot/bolt covers Part #'s are 70901-08 (right) and 70999-08 , (left). Hopefully they will be the same. I used a small dab of silcone on them so they would stay in place.

 

Yup - Guess that's what I'll have to do. I see this part "walking" away from a lot of parked bikes tho' if Harley doesn't release it as a individual part purchase option. Spoe to the dealer again and they told me the same thing. Then they told me it was $20.99. As much as I love the dealership I go to I hate the nickle and diming. Everything in the parts department is marked up just a bit. It's bad enough they didn't catch this issue when I asked them to get me a replacement part. They ordered me part 70901-09 (thanks Dianco - just not the 08 part) and then - you guessed it, charged me $2.99. I've already told them they can have that part back!
