Saw this '11 Root Beer EG Limited getting final detailing prior to delivery to the customer yesterday. Sorry for the lousy phone camera picture (not enough light indoors), but it shows a tour pak without the Ultra light bar, and, so far as I know, a unique "Harley Davidson" decal between the two antennas.

One of the sales guys told me it was an RGU tour pak mistakenly placed on the Limited, but it's a Root Beer color which I don't think is available on the RGU.

The customer knows it's not the right tour pak for the Ultra and will receive a replacement. There'll probably be a unique Root Beer tour pak available soon.

It's probably an export model that was put on by mistake.

 

I hope that HD is upfront with the guy and makes it right by ordering the correct TP.

 

I got my Electra Glide Ultra Limited in Rootbeer the end of August. After I had it for a week or so I kept saying something didn't look right with the color on the side panels. It came delivered with Road Glide side panels in Merlot. The color was close but the stripes weren't. Took it back to the dealer and they ordered the correct panels. This meant that someone at the factory put the wrong ones on, the quality control guy missed it and the dealer missed it. Makes you wonder.

 

Interesting qc mistake. Anyone ever have to wait for painted parts? It almost always tekes several months.

 

I am surprised that HD didn't try and charge him for it.

 

I doubt that is a RGU tourpak. Mine doesn't have a decal, it has a chrome emblem. Sorry I don't have a better picture.

 

The two antennas w/o the light bar most closely resembles the RGU except for the decal "HD" script (instead of the metal badge) and color.

Perhaps like an earlier reply mentioned, it's and HDI version.
