Default Best amp for 2 speaker Street Glide

I have an 07 SG with the upgraded J&M 7.25 speakers. I like the sound, but have been hearing a lot about the extra boost and clairity you will get from a amp. Question is what amp works well with the J&M speakers and stock head unit? And what should I expect from the decent amp, louder, clearer more bass?

I have the Arc Mini 125.2 and its a nice amp. Mine is clear and the bass is decent (tough to get good bass out of 2 speakers in the fairing). Also the fit is tight and the Arc mini fits pretty snuggly.

Good luck!

J&M has a perfect amp match, like said above ARC has one, and there is a company Elf that has a copy of the ARC but they look like they may be going under. The J&M 7.25s are 120watts(2ohm) a piece and the J&M amp is 250watts(125watts/piece 2ohm) so it will work night and day to what you have. It's also plug and play so its an easy setup. I believe your stock head is only hitting each speaker with 20watts so you got a lot of room to fill in those 7.25s. Just got to cough up the dough for it.

The best things about the J&M amp is that it comes with mounting brackets and set to work perfectly with your J&M speakers already. Plug and play. A nice plug in wiring harness. It may be expensive, but it is the best setup for you 7.25"'s. J&M put tons of R&D into creating the best easy install package for their speakers. Both guys with baggers at the shop have this setup and the sound is so good and so crystal clear at volume that when standing next to someone with the stereo on i can yell and they cannot hear me over the crystal clear sound of the stereo. Really! Save $100 plus shipping by ordering through Dr. V-twin!

I believe JMJOHN stated on here previously that the J&M amp is an ARC amp with their label.

I have the J&M amp & 7.25" speakers in my '09 RG.
I love it!

I have a Biketronics setup. I like it. Simple install. Excellent customer service. Lifetime warranty. At 90 mph, with less than half volume, can hear it clearly.

As you will find out, tons of different opinions on the forum.

Damn Cuz,
You make your decision based on 1 opinion?

I have a Biketronics amp on my '06 SG.
Lifetime Warranty is great...you'll need it!
My amp has been in transit to Biketronics as much as it has been on my bike.

Enjoy that new amp!
