Look in front of the battery. Should be a breaker, not a fuse. I think this was the last year of the breaker on Road Kings.

ok ... i went to start the bike and everything went dead. didnt reset. battery is full charge. everything is tight. nothing lights up when i turn the switch on. if its a breaker shouldnt it reset itself? or could it have been converted to a fuse?

Could be a faulty breaker stuck open, could be the ground to the tranny (I think there was a service bulletin way back but can’t remember the years). Your probably going to have to get out the multimeter and alligator clip and start tracing wires.

12V across the battery,?

12V on the load side of the breaker?

Check the individual fuses,

Establish that there is a ground between the frame and the negative post of the battery.

the diagnostic tree goes on from there

Look under the left side cover. It kind of looks like a relay on a wire harness. Take the cover off to access it.
