Are you saying the swing-arm pivot points, in addition to where the swing-arm attaches to the frame, is also used as the rear point where the engine/transmission attaches to the frame???

Quite right!

HardyHarHarley, you are looking in the right area! Go to this link, courtesy Ronnies, hope it works.

See the part #35, this is at the right-hand end of a sandwich of parts. Now look at this link. Starting at the part of the frame where 35 was shown, there is a rubber mounting #11, one side of the swingarm, the transmission case, the other side of the swingarm, a further rubber mounting #11, then a bolt-on piece #16 that is screwed to the frame and holds that lot together.

The swingarm axle goes through the rubber mounts, swingarm and transmission case, but the metal parts are isolated from the frame by those rubber mounts, which are trapped in tailor-made pockets.

Hope that helps!

Default Front and rear mount replacement

Researching the forums on replacing the mounts on an 09 SG and I came across this thread. So I thought to resurrect it with some additional questions.
Home many miles are the stock mounts holding up on the new (09) frames? Do you folks generally change all 3; frt, rear and top stabilizer? And is there a better brand available?

Thanks and Happy New Year! ;-)
