I put Mobil 1 20W-50 in all three holes at the second change around 1400 miles on my bike. It's still in the engine and primary. In the trans it made too much noise for my liking (clatter at idle with the clutch out in nuetral). I changed the trans to Mobil 1 75W-140 and I'm much happier.

+1; good advice. Never understood why anyone would pay synthetic price for primary lubricant. Not to mention the additives that are in the synthetic that don't belong in the clutch. ATF is also an alternative to conventional motor oil in the primary. I have read that some guys have had good results with the synthetic gear lubes in the trans; smoother shifts and less "clunk" but haven't tried it myself.

I have read other threads where people were saying they can run any kind of oil in the primary and the clutch will be happy. I just replaced the compenator in my '08 RKC. I have always used synthetic in the primary (Started with Amsoil then switched to Mobil 1.). I was surprised by the amount of wear shown on the compensator. There were significant grooves worn where the ramps made contact. The clutch may be able to run on any kind of oil but the compensator clearly needs the slipperyest (Is that a word?) oil you can feed it.
