Default Top End Noise

is it common to hear more top end noise like a tappet or lifter when you have a stage 2 cam set up on vtwin....it goes away alittle when is hold the throttle at 3400 rpm...but i can also hear it at 20 to 50 mph.....not at idle though.

Welcome to the forum. If the noise does not sound like its fixing to fly apart, yes its normal. Its a harley and has engine noise. If you are new to the harley world, get used to that answer " Its Normal". Was the work recently done to your bike or did you purchase it that way? If it a previous modification, it might be a good idea to have the bike looked at by someone who knows whats up.

As long as it's not rattling loud, then yes.

Well put my67pnycar. I am on my first Harley and it took me some time to get used to that answer also. I have a similar noise but it runs great. Welcome to the forum.

Default Top End Noise

thanks fellas.....great info...and more peace of mind...this is my second Harley...my first was an anniversary sportser with drag pipes only no upgrades....my electraglide has a pwr cmndr, V&H pipes and stage 2 cam setup, runs great..although i do get a popping noise when i let off the throttle....exhaust popping..everytime...it does run rich, so i'm assuming the commander might needs to be remapped...or adjusted to run leaner. No intake or vacuum leaks, other than that i'm very content with it.
