Default Progressive Suspension Monotube Fork Cartridge Kit for Tourin

I picked up a 2003 Road Glide last fall. Only have a few 100 miles on it but already know I want to upgrade the shocks and front end suspension.

Was looking at the Progressive set up

Has anyone tried these? If so your thorough?

They list around $399 so not a really high $ upgrade if they improve handling

Thanks

I ran the monotubes and the 940 shocks on my 01 Classic, the monotube kit I ran was the lower one,the bike handled way better than stock and was more stable and cornered better

Haven't tried the prog. monotubes but I do have experience with Ricors Intiminators,$300 and the same install time . This is what fork dampening should be from the factory . Excellent ride , dramatically reduced front end dive while braking and they retain fork travel . Try what you want but Ricors work .

I have the progressive monotube, running 2' under in my 2010 RG, I love them, way better than stock, and if you check around you can find them under $399. I paid $359, believe it or not I bought mine from the HD dealer.

Have mine dropped 2" and love them.

I paid under 300 (or right around it) on phatperformance plus free shipping.

I put them in my 2005 Ultra at the stock height - what a difference in the ride.

Been trying to find some for my road glide but everyone is sold out of the lowering ones and not due back in until the 15 of Feb. So I guess I have to wait. I have only heard good things about them though.

DO IT
They help the bike completely. The stance thru the turn and in the straights too.
While you are at it; chrome the lowers and get the chrome cow bell. Once it's done; the front end does not need to be serviced at all except for the triple tree bearings.

Ok after e-mailing with Brian at Ricor I found out On the 2003 road glide, if the bike is stock you have a cartridge on one side so to improve the ride you would need some additional parts for the forks, approximately $200 worth of parts from Harley.

I was impressed with the data and feed back in the RICOR but am also looking at over all cost.

Since I would need to add $200 in parts to put the standard cartage on the other leg then $350 or so to add their product I end up with $550-+ or so for just the front and I have to pull the whole front apart to do the change anyway.

The progressive system replaces all the guts on both sides and will run $350 +- depending on what kind of deal I can get and the work is still the same i.e. pull the whole front end apart.

So unless someone can give me a comparison that clearly has the RICOR out performing the Performance set up I think I will go with performance on the front keeping in mind this is a bagger and I do not plan on racing or any-other radical riding, just the wife me and 50lbs of her stuff crammed in the tourpack :-)

I am ordering the RICOR rear shocks they seem to be a good set up and the price is not bad. $629

Will update once I have made the changes and put a few miles on the new set up.
