I've got E3s on my 06 RK. Good tires. Ideally you should put E3s front and back but putting an E3 on the back and leaving the 402 on the front probably wouldn't hurt anything.

I'm running elite 3's on my '08 Utra good tire, does not grab the tar snakes like the OE tires.

Stock front was MT90B16 72H (D402F) the elite 3 I have on is MT90B16 (72H)
Stock back was MU85B16 77H (D402) the elite 3 I have on is MU90B16 78H.

My back tire got 16,000 mile laste year and still had a little to go.

Mixing tire brands front or back won't matter...With the way these tires are built now a days...Old wives tale.

Do a search here and you'll find many threads about these tires, and the vast majority of feedback is positive. The MU90B16 is the correct size for your '06 RG.

The MU90B16 78H is the right tire for the rear of the 06, I am putting my second one on today, got 19,000 out of the last one, probably should have changed it about 18 but got a little extra out of it. Great tire, I did not like the 204 because of the tracking issue which I don't get at all with the E3's.
