Be interesting to see your results. I had the 254e's in my 2010 Street Glide on the recommendation of the dealer and was less than thrilled with the result. Low end tourque was not good. I now have Andrews 26H and much better results. The indy I used to do the Andrews cams said the compression on my bike was too low for the 254's and I would have been better off with the 204's which is what the dealer talked me out of. If you do enough reading in this forum you'll find several hundred different opinions on cams.

Hope yours turn out great!

i was told the SE254e's are a better cam for the PowerPak 103 rather than the SE255's..
i dont have proof other than verbal and reading various places.

I got the same advice - from a couple of sources too.

Anyway, my baby is in the shop right now and 254Es are on the work order.

I was told the 254e would be great for me. Then I read on this forum about the 204's with a 4* advance gear. I'm just waiting for the money now. Still not sure which tuner to get. Maybe the new power commander? TTS? SEPST or whatever the moco is calling it? Maybe just a download to the original ecm? Hope to read more of this post. Thanks for the info.

The 204 already has 4* advance ground in. I'd think adding 4* more would possibly make a tuning nightmare. The 204, straight up, has been a great bolt-in for stock 96"/103".

so I got as far as taking out the 10 bolts that hold the cam cover on...then I realized I didnt have any bolt cutters to snip the pushrods or any assembly lube for the new parts...*sigh* I guess my 20's are starting to catch up with my brain...I will get the stuff on my lunchbreak today and continue with the project.

Change you inner cam bearings; upgrade to Torrington B168s. Dealer has them or the local bearing house.

Actually the SE204 has 8* advance ground in and would work quite well in a 96" with the 4* advance gear. Static CR about 9.5, corrected about 9.1 and cranking compression about 186psi. Just right for a street build. Upgrade to 103+, pull the advance gear and run the SE 204 straight up. Some guys are putting of some 100/100 number with real nice TQ curves with that setu. The SE204 is an underrated cam and is being "rediscovere" of late. You won't find a cam with a more evil idle either.
