RE: antenna eliminator
Get a rubber shorty from you local auto parts store and zip tie it under your fairing. It will work just as good and you won't have an antenna showing.

Had an internal, powered antenna on my 04 SE Classic and it sucked... would not reccomend them. reception was terrible..

Yep, get the Tune Trapper. I use one and it works great. I even got my local HD dealer to stock and sell them.

I have a Dakota Digital powered antenna that works, and the Tune Trapper works as well.

I know this is an older post but when searching google it came up. So I want to post this here for others in need of a solution for the antenna on their HD. |

I just removed bags and seat and ran my old whip aerial up along side the frame and cable tied it on, still works perfectly cost me three cable ties and probably half an hour.
Now I don't poke my eye out with that darn whip anymore. Think the original poster posted it in the DIY section its a great Idea and a cheap problem solver. |
