Street Glide Shipping Damage Repaired CVO Rear End On!
Picked up my bike from my dealer yesterday. The rear end was damaged in shipment a couple month ago so I took the opportunity to change the rear end to that of the CVO. I added a Yaffe plate holder, HD Edge Cut bag latches and a Battastini horn cover as well as the HD black LED headlight. I'm pleased with the results but wonder if the original CVO plate holder and hooded license plate light (minus the reflector) would look better. What do you guys think?

Looks great. For $500 or so in parts cost, plus having the fascia painted to match the bike's color (and a simple wiring mod for the lights), I'm surprised more '09 and newer touring bike owners don't do this mod.
It's even more cost-effective if you have an insurance check to replace a damaged OEM rear fender as the OP had.

In a word: NO! But since you asked, if I was going to do it I would have filled in the hole in the fender and placed an under bag mount license plate bracket on from these guys.

Question: is yours now a CVO fender? I only ask because the plate location seems lower.
Question 2: Who is your painter? I ask because I have same color bike and I'm nervous about doing modifications like yours if the paint doesn't match up to OEM. Up here in the sticks people think it's primer!
