I have a very close friend that does wraps. I have talked to him about doing my bike. The problem is the gas tank. Even with my split tanks. There are a ton of curves there to worry about. He told me the tank would be next to impossible. But maybe someone would be willing to try.

This maybe a cheaper alternative instead of painting the dashboards.

They have done numerous bikes and all kinds of vehicles. I mean "high dollar" vehicles like Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Benz, BMW, Audi. I find it hard to believe a basic style tank would give them a "problem".

The dashboard is the one part I think they are going to have the most problem with (if any problem at all). I didn't get to talk with an actual installer, but the individual I did talk with doesn't think it will be.

I've been considering the same thing for my Ultra Classic. Wraps don't seem to require the same "investment" as paint, plus if I get tired of it I can go back to the original paint without a great deal of expense. Tanks, etc. don't seem to be a problem. Check out the gallery at Skinzwraps.com. Like the OP, I was thinking flat black but I kinda like the carbon fiber look in the gallery.

Brian I had my truck wrapped with my company logo, turned out fantastic! Was thinking of having some wrap done myself, not the whole bike mind you, just the pinstripe area, have it filled with ghost skulls from front to back and for the border use veins or bones.....

Sounds cool. Yeah, I have not heard anything negative about a wrap yet.
