Headlight Upgrade?

I don't ride my bike in the dark at all. With the time change last weekend, I now ride in the dark to work. I realized first thing monday morning that my stock headlight sucks! It WAS aimed practically straight down so I re-aimed it, but it's not very bright. Is there a replacement that is just a pop-in that is brighter than the stocker? I want to see and be seen. I've got the Brightasslight LED taillight and I do drive with my driving lights on, but I would like a little more vision in the dark.

Thanks in advance!!

Have you taken a look at the moco led upgrade lights?

I have trouble seeing at night too. I would always tell people I'll ride anywhere, but I need to be home by dark.

I sucked it up and bought the HD LED headlight and you can't believe how well it works.
Saturday night I road 120 miles home after dark and I would never have done that with the stock headlight.

I don't even need the High Beem with the LED headlight.
It's like when a gal gets a boob job: It's expensive, but money well spent.

Install a 100/80 h-4 bulb. Makes a big differance for little money.

Some using the Silverstars with good results, cheap drop in replacement. I have been using a HID from www.hidextra.com ($45) for over a year now don't even use the high beam. The new LED's might be good but a big price premium for them though so not sure of there ROI.

Check out Daniel Stern lighting and give him a call.

Try the Silverstars or as stated the 100/80 bulb, it will get you noticed.

I blew my bling budget on the new HD LED headlamp and passing lamp upgrades and believe me - it's a heavy hit on the wallet but worth every dime IMHO. I find as I get older i like to light up the road around me at night like a concert hall and believe me these do just that. Good luck with your decision.:icon_twocents:

The 80/100 bulbs are good but with the stock headlight housing it will likely blind oncoming traffic. A Hella E-code housing does a much better job focusing the light.

I bucked up for the Led Headlamp & Spots upgrade, pumping out some light now!
