Default Inner fairing off to paint

I finally decided to get my iner fairing painted. Disassembly was a lot easier than I tought it would be. If I have any trouble getting it back together, I have the repair manual. I also bought the gauge trim rings to go with newly painted fairing. For the speedo and tach, all went as described in the instruction but for the four small gauges, the adhesive was too thin and the ring didn't stick to it so I put a little silicone inside the rongs to make them stick to the gauges. Anybody else had this problem?

And don't worry, I'll post pics when all is reassembled.

You may as well mount a new set of gauges while you're at it.

Agreed 1000000000000% On my all black bike it is noticed by many. I removed and marked the wires...removed the inner and $150 later put it all back together. Would love to have Autometer Gauges...but not for what Klock gets for them.

It will cost me 200$ and he told me that I don't owe him anything until I'm satisfied with the result. I saw his work on a friends bike and he showed me his and the guy is really good. Can't wait to have it back.
