In December I purchased a Power Commander USB III for my 2008 Roadking. With the Power Commander installed on my bike it will not idle. After calling DynoJet and talking to the customer service rep. he told me to do several things. They include:
Reseting the unit, adjusting the throttle position, bending the power connector for the ground, changing the map and replace the fuel line. None of these fix the problem. Also, I have installed a new fuel filter, fuel filter shell, fuel regulator, quick disconnect, and crank sensor. The Roadking is stock other than a SE air cleaner.
I have read several posts that others are having the same problem. What did they do?
I have made about 5 calls to DynoJet. They don't seem to care.
Damn dude, if I did all that I would be pissed. Call Jamie at fuel moto, even if you didn't get it from him, he is still likely to help you.
I had a pc II on an 08 RK myself, had a stumble at a certain point during warmup. If you weren't ready for it, it could possibly put you dpown. Never did get a response about the problem. I traded the bike and my 2011 FLHTK has a TTS now. That one only hiccups once in a while off idle when letting out the clutch!
Bought my PCIIIUSB from Fuelmoto, good prices and more importantly they know their stuff and help out with any problems. They are a top notch outfit and anyone not being a EFI/Tuner expert will benefit from using Fuelmoto in case you have problems.

What I have learned from this experience is buy from a company that has a good return policy. If you have any problems what so ever return it to them. The authorized retail company that I purchased the PC III from had 30 day return policy. Unfortunatly, I sent it back to DynoJet for testing during that period. So the retailer says that I went beyond 30 days so no refund.
I recently ran into a pretty smart feller who had just gone through a HD factory dyno school. He sez that HD factory school informed the class that any and all piggy-back tuners were eventually going to trash your ECM. So just use what the factory provided and get a Dyno tune. No more , no less!
Good luck to any and all who chose to go with a aftermarket tuner

Reason: because I can!

He said that he said that he said? Could someone please explain how a PC can "eventually trash your ECM" if the ECM doesn't even know it is connected? I'd really like to know. I ran a PC on my bike for four years, so when was it supposed to destroy my ECM? I know people who've run one much longer than that and they remain trouble-free.
I hate threads that turn into irrational bashing of one product by using specious reasoning and without any solid documentation. I'm not flaming Turbo Turtle for reporting what someone said that someone else said, although I wouldn't have done it when discussing any product, but I can't accept it in the absence of any real documentation, evidence, or even some theoretical basis. Further, I've never heard of any specific example of an ECM that's been destroyed by a PC, and if anyone does know please present what you have. OTOH I have seen claims like "I heard...." several times on forums without any specific examples or documentation. All that said, I'd still like for someone to explain how this could happen even in theory.
Anyway, if PC's have any connection with ECM problems like this HD would certainly put out the word. My dealer actually prefers tuning with PC's and has them on the wall of the parts department for sale. Every dyno-tune that I've seen performed at that shop has been with a PC installed.
