I lasted one week with my stock pipes for many reasons:
1. they sounded like ****
2. I could not hear my motor when I was riding with my friends which made it hard to hear the rpms when shifting
3. the bike ran very hot and was a little doggy ( a stage one and new pipes helped a lot)

my 2010 SG is stock... at least right now, but won't be in a week or so. The only reason I have kept stock is
1. I thought it'd be best for break in (may not be the case but whatever)
2. There are so many options. It took me this long to finally take the plunge.
I agree with nhbiker.... I cannot hear my bike when I'm riding with even one of my buddies. Plus I'd like to get alittle more umph out of it.

I just traded my 10 EGC for an 11 Limited. I believe the stock pipes on the 11 Limited seem to be louder than on the 10 EGC. It is the 103 motor but I doubt that would make any difference. I'm getting ready to remove the CAT and that should give it a little more rumble. I'm over the whole loud pipe thing but I do like a little rumble.
