I have a 2000 Road King Police and I'm lookin for some new pipes. Because the POS screamin eagle pipes I had broke off at the obviously inferior welded joint during my last ride.
I would like some recommendations for a setup that won't be too loud and annoying during long rides, I know 2-1's make more power, but would like to stick with the "dual look" so a setup with a falsey is preferred, though if a great pipe only comes in a 2-1 I would still like to hear about it.
Also can anyone recommend a shop in the S.F. Bay Area to tune the bike with a Dynojet Commander III?
I run Rinehart 2:1 on my 88 and love the performance and sound. I had rinehart true duals on my CVO and loved the performance and sound. Both were loud but no need for ear plugs. I've ridden 1,000 in a day and listened to tunes.
As for a tuner, I understand there is a good one in Vallejo but he's a SERT not a Power Commander dude. I wouldn't consider a PCIII unless I was desperate or unable to find a good tuner. Just my opinion as there are many that are happy with the PC. My tuner is in Chatsworth, 750 miles from me. Get the idea?
I suppose I am a little pissed about the lack of quality I have experianced in Screaming Eagle products, I will look into the SERT as well. Anyone know a tuner in the South Bay that does the PCIII and/or SERT?
Interested in a solid, FAT set of 3" true duals, WITH no clamps, brackets or gaps, excellent performance, and deep, solid sound? Do you find chrome billet tips and a very simple install appealing? HARD KROME...look no further![:-]

I like the look ALOT, but from the tuners I have talked to in the past, have told me true duals are really hard to get good power out of due to the way the v-twin works, that they actually run better with at least a crossover pipe of some sort..
Also how loud are those badboys? I don't need to be scaring children 5 miles away, 1-2 miles is quite sufficent for me.
I've bought two from www.directparts.com and others have mentioned M&M Cycles has good prices too. Seems like Biggzed posted another source in a different thread yesterday that he said had even better prices...
I do agree with what has been stated by others that tuning makes all the difference. Did you get your PCIII from Jamie @ FuelmotoUSA? If so, holler @ him and request a map for your config and he'll get ya pretty close.
V&H Oval Slip ons. Jamie at fuelmoto will map your PCIII, as previous poster stated.
I am not interested in slipons as my current pipes are fubar, looking for a full pipe set. Thanks for the opinion though, I will certainly talk with Jamie at FuelMoto.
