good idea. i used gorilla glue on the rubber pieces on the cap and got some on the paint. spent $20, rubbing compound, nail polish remover, wax and 3 hours later i got it bak to acceptable. will never use super glue near the bike again.

silicone or weather strip adhesive. DO NOT use super glue

Choice #1: Buy a whole new one. Adhesive included as mentioned above.

Choice #2 : Windshield adhesive.

Good luck with whatever you try.

Get basically the same stuff at Home Depot for about $6 a 30' roll.It's a self adheisive foam strip used for going in between camper shell and pickup bed,about a 1/4" wider is all.I replace mine every other time I pull the outer fairing off.

NO problem with superglue. Ten year old fix, haven't touched it since.

Well I used super glue and it works fine. That doesn't mean use a ton and melt the paint, I used a tooth pick and used very little... Works perfect.

3M makes an auto trim and emblem adhesive. It comes in a tube available at someplace convenient or I wouldn't have found it. It worked very well for me.
