Pulled my Ultra fairing apart and installed LED head and driving lamps, installed mini apes/ re-positioned handlebars, removed black switch bodies and buttons for chrome ones, waiting for the chrome clutch perch and the brake master perch.....

The switches and wiring are fussy damn things.....I'm not going to be in a hurry to do that again.

 

New front tire, fixed some LEDs, put my Freedom shield back on it and tossed the LRS in the corner. Also rolled up some aluminum window screen and stuffed it up the mail slot from the front to try to help with the bugs in the face issue. I have a screen at the top end of the center vent or mail slot as I call it but don't like the way it fits so I'm trying something different.

 

Rainy cold day, so I spent some time in the garage cleaning it.

 

Went out on a nice ride down to Plymouth for lunch today. First real test of the fp3 and no baffles. Runs great, now only feel heat from the engine and not the pipes also. Still has some popping (probably due to not running any baffles). The wife doesn't think it's to loud as it is, so I'm just going to leave it as is. Might have to try the auto tune next.

 

Took it our for a nice ride to the Blue Ridge Parkway....where I think I left the keys to the saddle bags... hmmmm, return trip tomorrow to look for them perhaps?

 

Supposed to be another nice weather day tomorrow. Good reason to go back!
