Default Cee Bailey SSC vs Windvest vs Clearview Shields

Sorry to beat the horse.. BUT.. I'm in the market.. I did the search, and still have some extra questions..

First off, why is everyone so into clearview? Don't they have the same technology as LRS for more money? Isn't a recurve a recurve, period, as far as wind deflection height?

That being said.. The Cee Bailey SSC looks really tempting.. I've heard a lot of people really get excited about it. I'm 5'9"... I don't want to see through the shield. Because of their funky design, a 10" C.B. shield doesn't reach the same height of a 10" standard shield right? Isn't it 3" lower than an actual 10" shield making it effectively a 7" shield?

What do you think between the 3, for a 5'9" rider on an '11 SG.. I want the wind to go OVER my head, not my forehead, but a nice bubble.. I'd also like the lowest shield height possible.. I have the KW 6.5, but I'm still getting turbulence on my forehead.

I ended up getting an LRS because I couldn't justify not getting the cheapest. Looks are one thing, but when two shields are the identical, why pay more?

Thx.. Not to hijack my own thread, but what did you like better, your SG or RK? My RK didn't have all this wind buffeting issues.

I have the 13" cb, its probably the equivalent of a 9" shield.

I run a clearview 6" with recurve.. I am 6'4" with a 34" inseem.. It works great for me, huge improvement over the stock 4" shield. 8" would have been a little better, but it doesn't really go with the streetglide look. I don't mind a little wind...

The recurve on the windvest seems much more extreme than the clearview. I am comparing a friend's windvest to my clearview. Don't know whether that's good or bad just an observation.
