clutch cable is collapsing- never seen this before
I installed a diamond-black clutch cable lasr year. It probably had 3k miles on it when I put the bike away for the winter. I did a lot of motor work including the SE clutch hub kit and a SE compensator.(obviously there is a lot more tension with a race clutch) I keep having issues with my clutch coming out of adjustment. Upon further inspection, the sheath of the cable is collapsing where the adjustment screw is located.
I plan to install the stock cable with hopes that the hard plastic cable can stand up to the added tension. Has anyone else experienced this? Any other cable out there that is stronger than the stock one? Thanks!
