I got a mount from wally world. put heavy duty magnets on it and just lay it on the ignition switch. also bought a retractable aux cord so you only use what you need and when not in use coils right back up.

3 pocket fairing pouch, drop it in there and run the cord down to the radio
Someday I may get a mount for it - that way if I hit a song I don't feel like listening to I can skip it, but the pouch is good protection from the weather (like the rain and hail we went thru yesterday). |

Why not just burn MP3s to a disk? Nothing hanging on the fairing or handlebars and no cords.

I bought a Kuryakyn handlebar mount, but don't like it since it looks cluttered when the wire runs down from the top of my 14 inch apes. So, I'm going back to putting it in the windshield bag. Kuryakyn also makes a Fuel door mount that looks pretty clean, but then there's still the wires...I kind of like being able to control it from the handlebars, but I'm not dropping that much cash for that.

I had a machinist build me a little bracket out of aluminum that I attached to my windshield pouch. I have the iphone in the Otterbox case and it clips right on to the bracket. I also use the iphone for gps navigation.

My MP3 player is my phone and there's no way in hell I'm setting that outside my pocket. I have a long cord that goes into my pocket of jacket or vest (which ever I'm wearing). I haven't had any issues with this and if it starts to rain, I'm ok til I can pull over safely and put things away.
