Default saddle bag rails on my ultra limited FLHTX?

I just picked up my new 2011 ultra limited from my dealership. As I was loading up my trades in my trailer my salesman called and said it was ready to pick up and it had saddle bag rails on it like the ultra. When we made our deal ,they did not have a black limited in the showroom. Well the dealship said if I do not like them that they would remove them at the 1000 mile service. What is your opinion on saddle bag rails on a ultra limited? They do hide the pinstriping on the bags but chrome does stand out on a black bike although I probably will not bling it out. Leave them or have them removed and put the ultra limited guard on it? Does it look better with the ultra guard or the limited guard on it.Thanks for your feedback.

One of the reasons I bought the Limited because it didn't have them. I think it's sportier without them and a little less geezer.

I sort of felt the same way. Thought they would grow on me.

My vote is without as the bike looks cleaner. I think the guards take away from the look of the limited's. Just my 2 penny's worth.

+1 I just removed the rails off of my classic, IMO, looks much better. A sleeker, sportier look. Not quite so old manish.

IMO, the bike looks better with them off.

+1 on looking sportier without them, the CVO's don't have em eithter but it was nice of them to put you a set on for free....uh they were free weren't they? Doesn't sound like you asked for them

I stuck the nostalgic rails on mine.I like them but admit they geezer the bike up a bit.I had nightmares of one of the bags falling off.

I actually really like them. In fact I had the dealer install a set on my RK when I ordered it. They actually have saved me a couple of scratches when maneuvering through the mayhem my little guys create in my garage. Nets sticks bikes etc., I don't think they make the bike look as geezerish as a tour pak batwing etc., To each their own. That's what is great about a HD.
