Default Franklin Mint Ultra Classic 1:10 Scale

Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone is interested. The Franklin Mint has reduced the price on their 2004 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Road Rally Edition to just $58.00. Mine just arrived Friday and it's a beautiful 1:10 (9 1/2" length) scale model. I'm going to purchase a nice case to put it in.

If you look close, it's not an Ultra. And if I remember correctly, isn't that thing made in Japan or China or something?

Count the antennas in your picture, then look at the model.

I don't smoke thank you.

It is indeed an Ultra and very detailed I might add. The photo may only show one antenna but mine arrived with two.

Calm down, gentlemen, it's just a replica......no need to get the veins poppin'. HArley used to produce some very nice pewter renderings of our bikes....on little wooden stands. I wonder what happened to that product? Anyone seen one of these for the last several years?

Years ago, the outlaws (mother and father - in - law) bought me for Christmas, several in a row, these StarTrek ship models. Well one year one of the engine necelles broke off one. Called the Franklin Mint and wanted to ship it back to be repaired. You would have thought I owened a Time-Share and was calling them back to sell the thing! Got no place. If it breaks you have to find someone who works in restoring puter. Damn hard to find someone that casts it to start with let alone repair it.

Is still in a box stored someplace in my garage right now waiting for the Antique Road show to tell me what its worth before I 86' it.

Stuff looks nice until you scratch it or break it, then you can bet its junk.

Want something by art work to put on the wall, don't have to dust it 1/2 as much either. And if you have kids knocking pictures off the wall its time that they play out side.

Bruce,

I picked up the POSE Ultra Limited Edition model while at the National HOG Rally in Billings, Mt. this summer. Think I paid 125.00 as a rally price for it, so you got a good deal.

Regards,

Bill
