2009 street glide- stock radio problem
I have the stock radio, w/GPS, w/Hog tunes amp, w/Hog tunes speakers.
I am on my fourth radio!
First three radios lost of channel- one speaker would go out
now yesterday after one hour of riding radio goes dead, power was on but radio would not play any thing, shut it off for about a half hour, worked for a short time and went out again, power is clearly to the radio but no sound!
Anyone out there figure this out? HD just keeps replacing the radio- has to be something else!
Thanks

You could call Iron Cross.http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/additional-services.html
It is my understanding that they rework the stock HK units all the time.
Truth be known though, one would probably be better going w/another brand of unit.

Replace the unit with an aftermarket brand like alpine, kenwood and so on . i have read that even repairing your stock radio thru iron cross is not permanant,it will screw up again, I changed mine out a few yrs ago and love it. Not cheap though, cause youl need speakers also. If you do, go with Biketronics, they are the only ones that use AVC. It cost me around $900 for my setup but that includes an Amp and hogtunes tweeter pod.

Defiantly give Iron Cross Audio a call.
Nothing but good things about them. Search this forum and you'll find alot of satisfied users.
Fact that this is your 4th radio is a clear indication of something else causing the issue.
Replacing it with an aftermarket will not help if that issue still exists.
give then a call and let them walk you through it.
