Default Pictures of 19" LRS Light Tint shield installed on 1931jamesw's RKC

Uploading these pics for 1931jamesw

James that shield looks great on your bike and the tint matches perfectly! I think that is the shield for me, only question is light tint or clear with the Sedona Orange?

Looks sharp!

Thanks a bunch for helping me get those pics up, I need a new computer!

This is just my opinion and you can take it with a grain of salt. I don't know if you ride at night much or not Port Dawg, but I think a medium tint would compliment your paint color very nicely. If you do ride at night a lot, it may not be the best option. Your bike, your call.

Hey James, I jut got the 19" light tint too. Did you find that the tint is kind of hazy? It doesn't seem like the windshield is really clear.

I didn't notice it until someone else mentioned it in another thread and I was cleaning my bike today. While I was cleaning the shield I noticed that the plastic wrap they put over the shield for protection during shipping looks to have left marks on it the shield where the protective wrap was wrinkled. Yo can only see the marks when the shield is wet. I might try to clean it again with some alcohol to see if that help. Got any ideas on that?

James- were you able to get the "haze" off? If not did you contact LRS?

I have been inundated with work today and haven't had a chance to try to clean the shield again. I believe it is inside the shield though and not on the surface. I thoroughly cleaned it with windex yesterday a couple of times and I don't think it is something that can be cleaned off.

Well that's a bummer.....maybe I'll stick with the clear and see how that looks. Other than the haze the protection has been pretty good still?

I'm happy with the protection and I really like the height and being able to see over the top of the shield and still feel protected just as much as the stock shield protected. The haze doesn't seem to be a big issue and I'm really pretty picky about things. Maybe the haze is something LRS can improve on in the future. I think their tint supplier is new so I'm sure if this does start to effect their sales or if enough people say something they will get this haze thing fixed. I still think I made the right choice with this shield an tint.

Port Dawg, I really think the medium tint would look good with the rich Sedona Orange color. Are you thinking not so much?
