Touring Pull Back Handlebar - need extended cables?
I'm only 5'7" and considering putting the Harly Touring Pull Back Handlebars (55914-98) on my 2007 FLHX. Has anyone tried these bars? Do they require new cables and brake lines?

No new cables or brake lines required. Clutch cable get rerouted either outside of the fairing or inside but in a different location (trial & error) and a slight turn on the banjo fitting on the brake line puts it in the right position. If you keep the clutch cable inside the fairing, use enough plastic zip ties to keep it positioned properly and away from your gauges.
Had to re-route some cables, but did not need new cables. I might would suggest doing some homework though and checking out different kinds of bars. I find that the pullbacks put my wrists at an awkward angle and is uncomfortable during long rides. I feel that the angle where the hand grips are positioned is too far in toward the body. After a little research I am looking to get a set of the wild ones, probably the 575's which have got mostly good reviews on this forum

Did not need to replace any cables. I kept the clutch cable routed through the inner fairing. You will need to reroute around the inner fairing brackets instead of through the bracket. Trial and error until it works. So the answer is yes and my clutch works just fine.
The reach handlebars has made my riding so much more comfortable. Very relax now.
Just did the pullbacks this weekend and did a few short rides and am pleased. I always felt like I was leaning on the bars and now I'm sitting in a more relaxed position.
had harley pullbacks ...for 1 day didnt care for the wrist angle, just got done with 575 a little wider than i would like but big improvment over stock or harley reach.did require +4 clutch cable.i think kromewerks +2 sweeper would also be a good choice.
I am the same height and put them on a few years back, love them. I kept the stock throttle and brake cables, changed the clutch cable. The brake cable only required bending the curves out of the metal line for a little extra length. I was concerned with the angle of the grips but have grown to love it. One of the best comfort mods ever on my bike.
