Default how to regain the low end torque from true duals

I installed a set of vance and hines true duals of my street glide, noticed the little power dip around 2000-2500rpm, what can I do to get it back? maybe weld some sort of spacer in the baffle that will create pressure?

the lost crossover between the 2 exhaust tracts is the issue, not so much the backpressure.

Correct. It's the loss of exhaust scavenging that's killing your torque. Nothing to do but to go back to 2-1-2 or 2-1 pipes or live with it.

I just live with it, but my 103 has reasonable low end response to begin with. I don't know if it would be as easy to live with on a smaller engine.

Have had true duals on Two Harleys.... a 02 Road King and an 06 Electra glide... No problem with low in torque for me on either of these 88 motors.... I am in process
getting True Duals on my 2011 Ultra Limited and I foresee NO problems on the 103. I am sure there is a slight lost of Torque, but not enough for me to have a problem.... Oh, yeah all these bikes had stage one air and PCIII and the 11 has PC-5, all mapped by Fuel Moto....... hdman

Sounds like it's related to the cam; don't know which cams you put in but the trade off is usually bottom end for mid range unless you do it as a 'thought out' package, parts with a history of complimenting each other

If you want more low end torque just add more cubic inches

If you haven't bought yet, you may want to consider the V&H Power Duals. I actually feel more bottom end torque. Of course I did the PCV, Python slip ons, and air cleaner at the same time.
