I have the local dealer here in SB, CA change the rear on the bike. They charge $85 to remove the rear, change it and reinstall.
I take the front off myself and take it down. They charge half price $42.50.

Both are balanced.

Most of the indy shops around here charge $25 for mounting and balancing, pretty fair price I think. Not a lotta work to take the wheels off and put em back on long as you have something to lift the bike up.

I just had front and rear mounted and balanced. He (indy) took them off and put them back on the bike for $90.

Local Honda shop charged me $19.60. I carried the wheel and tire in and it was done in 15 min. If i hadn't been in a bind and leavin for key west in 12 hours i never would have even considered takin it there. Glad i did now.

I take my wheels and tires into my local Les Schwab (tire store). They charge me 40 bucks for two tires mounted and static balanced. I can have both wheels off my bike, in for mounting and back on the bike inside of an hour and a half. If I'm really feeling cheap, and not in a hurry, I take them over to a friends house and mount them myself in his garage.

I can't see paying a dealer 60 or 80 bucks (or more) to R&R a wheel.
