Default wow...

Just...wow.

Finished up the bar swap and putting on the +2 sweepers. While I expected them to be different, I never thought there would be so much difference. It's like night and day. I can actually lean back into my backrest now. It's hard to imagine 2" making such a difference (yeah, I know...that's what She said. LOL). The steering is also a lot lighter and more neutral now.

All the information needed, including part numbers was found here on the forums. Had to do some searching to put it all together in one spot for my needs, but sure beat paying the dealer $600 to do it!

Speaking of dealer...this experience has also shown me that my dealer obviously has no clue how to adjust a clutch. Replacing the clutch cable meant that I had to do the adjustment. Something else where the difference is like night and day...the clutch and shifts are so much smoother now you'd think I put in a new transmission rather than just a slightly longer cable.

So, my thanks to all those that have blazed the path before and left the trail well marked for the rest of us to follow!

Could you post some pictures of how they look? I'm still trying to decide what bars I want.

Will do. As soon as the battery for the camera charges. I'll try to get some in the same angle as some I have from when I first brought home the bike.

Here's a before and a couple of afters. Not quite the same angle but hopefully you get the idea.

Straight from the showroom floor...

After the bars...

Just another angle...

All I get is invalid attachment, notify admin, when I try and view your pics. Have you tried viewing them?

What is the part number for the bars, in case I like them, when I do get to see them.

The pics aren't showing, comes up " invalid attacment", anyway, I changed my bars also, makes a big difference, and doing it yourself makes it that much better.

Weird. Yeah, they show up on mine, but as a link. Let me try a different way...that's probably the issue.

Hopefully this comes out a bit better? Preview shows them as thumbnails at the bottom...if not, let me know and I'll email the stupid things. Good thing the bar swap wasn't this hard!
