I'm not using any yet? I'm on my third oil change, not counting the 1000 mile change, but I run synthetic and still change at 3k. I run her on nasty dusty gravel roads, so I like to keep it changed.

Their answer, the guy that did your service is not here today.

At 59K miles on the Ultra, I'm at about 1/2 quart of use between 5K oil changes. Full synthetic.

Don't want to talk about the pan head...she's got designed consumption

No oil measurable burning here...My 2000 has 82k miles on it. I never have to add oil between changes. The exhaust burns clean even if you look at in the dark with a flash light...The dino oil I've been using since new must be doing it's job.

all Harleys will use some oil...if they don't...sumptin wrong...some a little more than others...but all burn something...just like a car...it may take longer in a newer bike....but eventually it always drops. Mine uses maybe half a quart every 5000...it's an 05 88"...

My buddies 2006 88 inch seems to smoke a bit, allways been dealer serviced at 36K. I'll do a rebuild on mine when it blows smoke like that.
