The 555 should be perfect.

If you've gotta have a Wood cam set and aren't going to do anything to the engine except a cam swap, go with the 5-6.

Its Wood cams. The earlier intake closing and shorter overlap will give you better (earlier) torque with stock compression.

Thumbs up Tw-555

i think the tw-555 needs a little more compression to make up on the low end. if you ride in the 2500-3000 range the 555 is good, but a lot of folks like to ride in the 1800-2200 range, where the 255 really pulls well, in all gears, even 5th and 6th.

not sure about the tw6-6...i though it was more similar to the 255. these are my impressions after about 500 miles on this swap. other folks have different impressions...each bike and tune is different enough to vary the numbers and ride-ability using these, so best to define where you ride and select your cam from the many choices out there.
Appreciate your overview of the two cams, was thinking TW-555 but will stay with the SE-255 that I have for now.

i was gonna go with woods, but after so much research i decide to go with se204,better sound more usable power and i dont have to vary about having noise valve train.

Just installed the woods 555 this weekend, great sounding lope and it pulls very well. Tires already started spinned when I wasn't expecting it so that is something I will have to watch for. Installed the wood lifters as well and the bikes is the same or quieter than before, thankfully. All the talk about the cams making the lifters to loud had me worried but no issues. I plan on going with the 107 when funds become available which is why I went with the TW-555 instead of the 255's, woundn't want to ddo the cams twice. The 555's are better than I was hoping for and that running on a base fuel moto map. I'll get the auto tune going and then maybe a dyno tune down the road. After the 107 install and break in I will get it dyno tuned anyways just to be safe. So far out of the 100 miles i've been able to put on the cams it doesn't feel any more sluggish in any gear. Do your research and get a cam that meets your current and future needs!

Unless you mean internals, heads, springs etc, I do have a Stage 1 setup with BUB 7 TDX exhaust w/BUB catless header pipe, 'BIG SUCKER' a/c, PV tuned by FM,
wasn't planning any top end work.

so question remains the same, Woods TW-555 or 5-6 ??, thanks for the input.

The 5-6 will bring the torque in earlier for your setup.

I've got the Woods 555's. No complaints here unless I'm trying to go 20 MPH! I had the Sinister Up Yours Exhaust on mine that has very little back pressure and check the numbers in my sig line. The final 2 runs were 97 & 98 HP, and torque 109 & 108. I just sold the Sinisters and decatted the stock headpipe and put a set of CFR's on mine. The increased back pressure changed things so I need to have it retuned. I'm interested in seeing what the new number are or if they changed with the added pressure. My cams kick hard at 2500 or 2600 RPMs, but compared to stock, even at 1500 rpms my bike has more pull. Compared to how much kick the thing has at 2600 + rpms, sure down low around 2000 in 6th gear feels doggy, but it's still better than when it was stock! I can hit mine at 55 and don't need to down shift to pass relatively quickly. Now, if I want to kick it down 2 gears, things change real quick! I won't put down any other cams in teh 103 or 96 because I don't have a lot of experience with them. I've driven a few and wasn't impressed. But, if your running a 103, I wouldn't exlude the 555s on what a couple of these guys have said!
