Default Installing Back Off flasher on Street Glide

Instructions say to splice in to brake light wire between switch and light...I'm adding saddlebag lid spoiler lights that plug into the accessory plug...not sure if I need to splice in upstream of that accessory plug...maybe off the brakelight switch...any ideas would be helpfull

If you are plugging the lid lights into the accessory switch, then they will not function as brake lights. They will go on when the ignition is on and off when the ignition is off. They will function as running lights only.
In order to have them function as brake lights and/or back-off brake lights, the power must come from the brake light wire and the back-off module goes in between the brake light wire and the lights.
