Default Stick on balance weights won't stay on SG wheels

Third time in a week these weights have slipped off. Just had new tires mounted and balanced, and when checking the tire pressure a couple days later, I noticed some of the weights slipping, by the time I rode back to the shop, one was completely gone and the other two were barely hanging on. Initially I assumed the wheel wasn't cleaned properly, but the shop gave me replacement weights and I cleaned it myself with alcohol and put the new weights on. Only the weights in the spoke section slipped on both wheels. Anyone with balancing experience know if the sticky tape on the K&L weights is the problem, or the fact that the spoke section is angled too much causing the weights slip.

I cannot comment on the weights or the sticky tape, but I can tell you to forget the weights and use Dynabeads. Based on several posts I tried them on my Ultra and will never go back to traditional weights.

I have not tried it, but a friend who works at a tire shop uses'ether'. The stuff used in starting vehicles, he says it works well.

You need to silicone them on, just dont forget to let the stuff cure overnight before you ride.

One of the first mods to my new SG last year was pulling the weights off and installing the Dyna Beads.

Split the weights up and add them to either side of the spoke.

The problem is the slope of the spoke. Centrifical force is slinging the weights off. No glue or tape will hold the weight at that angle.

Dyna Beads is a valid option. I have them for my bike but have not had a chance to install them.
